Spreadshirt CEO Decides to Move On in Spring 2021

July 26, 2020 in Company

Philip Rooke will pass the baton in more than eight months time

CEO of Spreadshirt, Philip Rooke, is moving on at the end of March 2021 after eleven years at the helm of the global self-expression platform. During his time at Spreadshirt Group the company has moved from 1 to 5 brands, grown revenue by 600%, opened up to 18 countries and became a global market leader.

Philip Rooke says;
“Spreadshirt is in a great place, we are a strong, sustainable and profitable business. The right time for change is always when things are going well. So, I felt 2021 would be a good moment for fresh eyes and a new brain to take the company to the next level. I’m looking forward to my last few quarters at Spreadshirt and leaving the company with record 2020 results”.

Spreadshirt’s Founder Lukasz Gadowski says:
“Philip leaves with our thanks for all his achievements and success in over a decade at Spreadshirt. We are especially grateful for the culture elements he has instilled in the company. Philip has created a transparent, goal-oriented, financially prudent and sustainability-conscious organisation. His time as CEO of Spreadshirt leaves us with a great foundation and a bright future”.

Spreadshirt saw strong profitable growth in 2019 and is on target for record numbers in second half of 2020, despite COVID-19. Last year Spreadshirt generated a revenue of €131 million, a 18.8% increase compared to the previous year. While large orders, the primary contributor to last year’s success, are experiencing a big drop as a result of the pandemic, Spreadshirt is seeing a booming customised product and gift market with over 60% year over year order growth.
